Scope of Project

The Sack Company is currently performing a complete mechanical installation for this new courthouse for Sumter County. The courthouse is expected to be completed by the end of June 2009. The $16.1 million facility will have four floors.

According to Lynn Taylor, the County Administrator, the ground floor will house the Sheriff's Business Office, Juvenile Court and the Clerk of the Superior and State Court. The first level will house Code Enforcement, Building Inspection, Tax Assessors, Tax Commissioner, Board of Commissioners offices and meeting rooms. Also on this level will be common areas such as conference rooms and a staff break area. The second level will house the Magistrate Court, Probate Court and State Court, along with two courtrooms. The third level will house the Superior Court Judges chambers, Circuit staff and two courtrooms.
